The website “Friends of MELIOS" is still under construction and we are trying to complete and update the information bit by bit. However, we wanted to go online as soon as possible in order to be able to present the existing dogs. Even if not all other information is complete yet.
We would like to inform you here about various projects that have been carried out by the MELIOS shelter in recent years. There is still a time gap here that we would like to close as soon as possible. However, our personnel capacities are limited, which is why we ask for your patience. We ask for your understanding.

Large vaccination campaign at MELIOS!
Last weekend we carried out our annual vaccination. More than 50 dogs were vaccinated by veterinarian Margarita Dana at the shelter, thanks to your donations! However, there are still more or less 150 dogs in the shelter and over 30 dogs on the street waiting to be vaccinated. And this is also very important, so that they cannot transmit diseases! Your support in this project is therefore very important and without your help we cannot do it. Vaccines are not cheap but necessary. Please help us.

One week of sterilizations!
A highlight every year is always the action of Christine Pieters and her husband Frans Temmerman and the veterinarian Philip Hanssens. They come to MELIOS for one week and then operate the whole week. For third time in a row Christine Pieters and Ruby's Trust organized and fulfilled with great success a sterilization program for Melios. Together with Frans Temmerman and Filip Hanssens they sterilized 28 dogs, 11 cats and took care of 3 dogs that were in crucial condition. They also visited our shelter, took photos of the dogs and have already arranged almost everything for the adoption of 11 dogs!!
What an amazing woman, what a wonderfull team!!!
